ISLAMABAD, Oct 06 (APP):The National Institutes of Health (NIH), in collaboration with the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), conducted a three-day consultation workshop to review and finalize the first National Bio-risk Management Guidelines for Laboratories in Pakistan.
The workshop brought together relevant laboratory stakeholders to review the proposed guidelines, provide technical input and strengthen the framework for safe, secure and responsible laboratory practices.
Participants discussed measures to strengthen bio-risk management, bio-safety and bio-security and promote standardized practices across laboratory settings.
The consultation is aimed at establishing a comprehensive framework to support safer laboratory operations and improve the management of biological risks.
