The chairman directed the concerned departments to ensure that all projects were completed in accordance with approved designs, specifications and prescribed standards.
He said the Diplomatic Enclave was an important and sensitive area and a key part of Islamabad’s diplomatic landscape.
Its infrastructure and overall environment should reflect the image of a well-planned, modern, secure and well-maintained federal capital.
The ongoing projects include the improvement of roads and footpaths, renovation and upgradation of security gates and checkpoints, improvement of waiting areas, boundary wall works, installation and upgradation of security and LED lighting systems, fencing and grills, landscaping, tree pruning and improvement of green belts and road medians.
The CDA chairman also stressed the need for proper maintenance of green spaces, roads, footpaths and public areas, with particular attention to cleanliness, landscaping and effective lighting.
He directed the relevant departments to ensure that the ongoing work caused minimum inconvenience to diplomatic missions, residents, visitors and other stakeholders.
Emphasising coordination among the departments concerned, he said development, security, landscaping, sanitation and maintenance activities should be carried out in a coordinated manner to ensure the efficient use of resources and timely completion of projects.
