ISLAMABAD, Oct 13 (APP):Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to building safer and more resilient communities across Pakistan.
“Prevention today is a must for protection tomorrow. On the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, we renew our commitment to building safer, more resilient communities across Pakistan,” the prime minister said in his message on the Day, annually observed on October 13.
He said that the disasters could undo years of progress in a single day.
“As climate-related risks grow, we are working to embed risk reduction in our climate and development plans and strengthen partnerships to protect those most at risk,” the prime minister added.
