Police Arrest Outlaws
LAHORE, Oct 14 (APP):Kahna police arrested a man allegedly involved in the murder of his mother, who was killed in connivance with her former husband and other accomplices following a dispute over a child maintenance case.
According to a spokesman on Wednesday, the arrested suspect, identified as Irfan, was nominated in the murder case of his mother, Azra Bibi, who had earlier filed a legal case against her former husband seeking maintenance for their children.
Police investigations revealed that the victim was allegedly murdered after she refused to withdraw the maintenance petition. The primary suspects—including her former husband and son, along with accomplices—reportedly subjected her to severe violence and opened fire on her inside her home.
Following the incident, police registered a case and successfully apprehended suspect Irfan, while ongoing raids were being conducted to arrest the remaining fugitives.
Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Faisal Kamran expressed deep grief and regret over the alleged involvement of a son in his mother’s murder, assuring that all remaining suspects would be brought to justice soon.
He emphasized that the investigation is being handled strictly on merit to ensure exemplary punishment for those involved in the heinous crime.
