KDA deploys staff, machinery in Kaghan Valley amid snowfall
KAGHAN, Oct 15 (APP): The Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) has deployed staff and machinery at various locations in Kaghan Valley to facilitate tourists and local residents following snowfall in the upper areas, as temperatures have dropped and several tourist destinations have been covered with snow.
According to the KDA officialSs, snowfall has covered Naran, Saif-ul-Malook Lake, Besar Lake, Lulusar Lake and Babusar Top, while light snowfall was also recorded in Naran Bazaar during the night, enhancing the natural beauty of the valley.
Heavy snowfall at Babusar Top has prompted Mansehra Police to temporarily suspend traffic movement beyond Kati Das until weather conditions improve. Around 1.5 feet of snow has accumulated at Babusar Top, while approximately two inches of snowfall has been recorded at Lulusar Lake.
On the directives of KDA Director General Muhammad Shiraz, personnel and machinery have been deployed at different locations to guide and assist tourists and local residents and respond promptly to any emergency situation.
With an influx of tourists expected during the upcoming weekend, visitors have been advised to obtain the latest information about weather and road conditions before travelling to the upper areas and strictly follow the instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
