At TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, envoy urges stronger Pakistan-US ties in IT, innovation

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 16 (APP): Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has appreciated the growing capabilities of Pakistan’s technology industry and underscored the importance of strengthening Pakistan–US cooperation in information technology, innovation, and digital entrepreneurship.

The ambassador said this during his visit to the Pakistan Pavilion at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 – one of the world’s leading technology and startup conferences held from October 13–15 at Moscone West in San Francisco, California.

This year, the Pakistan Pavilion featured around 20 Pakistani technology companies showcasing their capabilities across a variety of Tech sectors.

The ambassador interacted with representatives of participating companies and was briefed on their innovative products, technological solutions, and efforts to expand their presence in the United States market.

He encouraged participating companies to leverage their presence in Silicon Valley to establish enduring commercial relationships and explore investment opportunities, with a view to positioning Pakistan as a competitive and reliable technology partner in the global digital economy.

He assured full support of Pakistan Missions in the U.S. to help participating companies in building linkages in the U.S.

Pakistan’s participation in TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 reflects the country’s continued efforts to enhance the international visibility of its technology sector, facilitate market access for Pakistani companies, and promote and augment commercial linkages with the United States – Pakistan’s largest ICT export market.
