WASA
RAWALPINDI, Oct 16 (APP): Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Rawalpindi, in collaboration with Punjab WASA and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), here on Friday held a training session on effectively implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and improving institutional performance.
Officers from WASA Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal and Talagang participated in the session.
Imran Qureshi, Technical Adviser to the Director General of Punjab WASA, and Masroor Ahmed of UNICEF briefed the participants on the KPI framework, its practical application, and methods for evaluating performance across sectors.
Masroor Ahmed gave a detailed presentation on key indicators relating to water supply, sewerage, finance, revenue and grievance redressal. Participants were also trained in compiling the required data, accurately completing prescribed performance forms and effectively monitoring institutional performance.
The session highlighted that effective implementation of KPIs would help measure departmental performance, strengthen monitoring and accountability mechanisms, improve transparency and enhance institutional efficiency.
The initiative aims to strengthen the administrative and professional capacity of WASA, ensure continuous performance improvement and enhance service delivery, including the timely provision of water supply, sewerage and other basic facilities to citizens.
