SIFC lauded for resolving industrial land approval issues

Secretary SIFC, Australian HC discuss trade, investment
ISLAMABAD, Oct 18 (APP):Industrialists from Punjab have appreciated the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) for its prompt intervention and facilitation in resolving procedural bottlenecks related to industrial land approval.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the industrialists said, this intervention reflects the Council’s continued commitment to supporting investors and strengthening Pakistan’s business environment.
Through coordinated efforts with the government of Punjab, the Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA) Punjab, and industrial estate developers, including Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) and Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC), SIFC facilitated the resolution of 34 pending industrial applications during September 2026, helping accelerate investment-related processes across the province.
Chairman of Nanjing JIUDING Environmental Technology Co. (Pvt.) Ltd, Shahab Ikram, particularly appreciated SIFC’s support in facilitating industrial land approval at Faisalabad Industrial Estate for the company’s proposed industrial venture in Pakistan.
He acknowledged the importance of timely intervention and effective coordination in addressing procedural challenges faced by investors.
The initiative highlights SIFC’s role in bridging coordination gaps between investors and relevant government departments, facilitating timely decisions and improving the ease of doing business. Such efforts support industrial expansion, local manufacturing, technology transfer and employment generation.
SIFC remains committed to strengthening investor confidence through responsive facilitation, coordinated government action and the resolution of investment-related impediments, contributing to sustainable industrial growth and a more competitive investment environment in Pakistan.
