CTP Rawalpindi takes action against illegal motorcycle silencers, pressure horns
RAWALPINDI, Oct 20 (APP):The In-charge of Traffic Police Kahuta, along with his team, on the directions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam, removed illegal silencers, pressure horns and flasher lights from dozens of motorcycles and issued challan tickets to their owners.
Motorcycles fitted with illegal silencers and those without baffles were impounded and shifted to the police station.
The motorcycles will be released only after their owners install standard silencers.
CTO Farhan Aslam appreciated the In-charge of Traffic Police Kahuta and his team for the action.
He said those who spread fear and panic through noise and noise pollution would not be given any concession, adding that excessive noise also had adverse effects on human health.
He further stated that strict action would also be taken against mechanics involved in making illegal alterations to motorcycles.
