CHANGZHOU, Oct 24 (APP):Chinese electric bike manufacturer Horwin has sold 10,000 units in Pakistan within one year, and is now planning to explore the localization of its e-bike supply chain, technology and manufacturing in the country, potentially paving the way for complete local production.
During a media delegation visit to the company in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, Horwin CEO and Founder Wendsor Zhou highlighted the market’s potential for electric mobility and growing business opportunities between Pakistan and China.
He told APP that current sales milestone reflects an emerging opportunity for Chinese electric two-wheeler manufacturers in Pakistan, where electric mobility is attracting attention amid efforts to explore alternative transportation solutions.
Zhou stated that his company have been increasingly exploring overseas markets for electric vehicles and related technologies, while Pakistan offers potential opportunities for cooperation in electric transportation, distribution and after-sales services.
“Horwin’s reported sales in Pakistan also underscore the importance of local market knowledge, business partnerships and customer-oriented strategies in establishing a sustainable presence in the country”, he added.
Zhou further stated that Electric two-wheelers could offer Pakistani consumers an additional transportation option, although wider adoption will depend on factors such as affordability, charging infrastructure, battery performance, maintenance facilities and the availability of spare parts.
“Closer cooperation between Chinese manufacturers and Pakistani businesses could help develop distribution networks and improve access to electric mobility products. The company’s experience in Pakistan may also provide a basis for exploring further opportunities in the country’s evolving two-wheeler market,” he stated.
He said further details about Horwin’s new product range, Pakistan operations and future expansion plans would help assess the company’s next steps in the market.
