LDA plans measures to ease traffic congestion outside schools

LDA selas 42 illegal properties
LAHORE, Oct 25 (APP):The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has planned special measures to address traffic congestion outside educational institutions located within its jurisdiction.
According to the plan, designated drop-off and pick-up lanes will be provided outside schools to allow vehicles to stop without obstructing traffic on main roads.
The Director General (DG) LDA has also directed the removal of encroachments outside schools and academies, which reduce road capacity and impede traffic flow, particularly during peak hours.
The initiative also includes the installation of zebra crossings to facilitate safe road crossing for children, along with traffic signboards to improve road safety and ensure clear visibility of traffic instructions.
Under the initiative, traffic-related issues around educational institutions will be identified and appropriate measures taken to improve traffic flow and ensure the safety of students.
