ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): The District Health Office (DHO) Islamabad will organize a community cycling event, titled “Pedal for Pink,” at F-9 Park on October 31 to raise awareness about breast cancer, encourage early detection and promote healthy lifestyles.
The event, scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., aims to engage community members and families in promoting preventive healthcare and highlighting the importance of timely screening for breast cancer.
According to the DHO, the initiative will use community participation and physical activity to spread awareness about breast cancer symptoms, risk factors and the benefits of early diagnosis.
Health experts emphasize that early detection can improve treatment outcomes, while regular medical consultations and appropriate screening can help identify the disease at an earlier stage.
The cycling activity is part of broader efforts to encourage healthier lifestyles and strengthen public awareness of breast cancer prevention and care.
The DHO has encouraged residents to participate in the event and support efforts to promote breast cancer awareness and early screening in Islamabad.
