DG NCCIA Rizvi addresses cybercrime complaints during E-Kachehri, orders immediate action
ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): Director General National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Wednesday held an E-Kachehri to directly hear public complaints regarding online fraud, social media harassment and blackmailing, and issued immediate directions to concerned officers for their redressal.
NCCIA official told that, the E-Kachehri was organised on the directions of Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi to provide citizens with direct access to the agency’s leadership.
He said a large number of citizens contacted the Director General during the online session and raised complaints related to various cybercrimes.
Several public issues were resolved during the session, while the DG issued immediate instructions to concerned officers on complaints requiring further action.
Rizvi said the timely redressal of public complaints remained a top priority of NCCIA.
The purpose of the E-Kachehri was to reduce the gap between citizens and the agency and provide people with an opportunity to directly raise their concerns.
He urged citizens to report cybercrime incidents through the NCCIA helpline 1799 or visit their nearest NCCIA circle for assistance.
