ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): The Health Services Academy (HSA) on Wednesday organized a PinkTober panel discussion on breast cancer awareness and early detection, bringing together speakers to highlight the importance of timely diagnosis, preventive healthcare and public education.
The discussion featured Junaid Sarfraz and Samina Naeem, who shared insights on the need to improve awareness of breast cancer, recognize early warning signs and encourage women to seek timely medical advice.
The speakers stressed that early detection plays a vital role in improving treatment outcomes and reducing the risk of complications associated with delayed diagnosis.
They emphasized the importance of educating women about breast health and encouraging them to consult healthcare professionals if they notice unusual changes.
The panel also highlighted the need to address social stigma and misconceptions surrounding breast cancer, which can discourage women from seeking screening and medical care.
Participants discussed the importance of regular screening, access to reliable medical information and timely consultation with qualified healthcare professionals.
They noted that awareness initiatives could help women make informed decisions about their health and seek appropriate care when needed.
The discussion underscored the role of educational institutions and public health organisations in promoting preventive healthcare and strengthening community engagement on breast cancer.
The PinkTober activity was part of broader efforts to encourage early diagnosis, improve public understanding of breast cancer and promote better health outcomes for women.
