ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP): Chairman of the Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday extended warm greetings to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish parliament, government and people on the occasion of Türkiye’s Republic Day.
In his message, he said the day symbolised the Turkish nation’s commitment to democratic values, national unity and progress.
The Senate chairman said Pakistan-Türkiye relations were rooted in shared history, mutual affection, sincerity and unwavering solidarity.
He noted that the deep bond between the two brotherly nations extended beyond diplomatic ties and reflected their enduring friendship.
Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said Pakistan highly valued its longstanding relations with Türkiye, adding that parliamentary exchanges and cooperation in various fields had strengthened mutual understanding and advanced shared interests.
He expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation in the parliamentary, economic, trade and cultural sectors would expand further, contributing to regional peace, stability and prosperity.
The Senate chairman extended his best wishes for Türkiye’s continued progress and prosperity, expressing confidence that the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye would grow stronger in the years ahead.
