SIFC engages business community for more investment-friendly Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is strengthening engagement with Pakistan’s business community to address business-related challenges, improve the ease of doing business and promote an enabling environment for trade, investment and enterprise growth.
In this regard, senior SIFC officials held meetings with representatives of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said SIFC press release issued here Wednesday.
The meetings provided an opportunity for direct interaction with business representatives and reinforced the importance of sustained dialogue between public institutions and the private sector.
Engagement with chambers of commerce enables businesses to share their perspectives on operational challenges and matters affecting commercial activity, investment and industrial development.
SIFC’s engagement with business organisations forms part of its broader coordination and facilitation role, which seeks to connect private-sector concerns with relevant government stakeholders.
Constructive interaction helps promote a better understanding of business needs and supports coordinated efforts to improve the overall business environment, the statement added.
Through continued engagement with chambers of commerce and industry, SIFC remains committed to strengthening public-private coordination, facilitating investment and supporting a more business-friendly Pakistan.
The Council’s approach recognises collaboration with the private sector as an important element of improving the ease of doing business, encouraging enterprise development and creating opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
