FJWU records significant growth in student applications, admissions
RAWALPINDI, Oct 29 (APP):Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) has recorded a significant increase in student applications and admissions this year, reflecting growing public interest in its academic programmes.
According to university figures, a total of 11,659 students applied for admission this year, compared with 9,870 last year. The number of students admitted also increased from 2,081 last year to 2,425 this year.
The growth reflects increasing confidence in the university’s academic environment, research facilities and campus culture.
Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Bushra Mirza, the university continued its efforts to enhance academic standards, improve educational quality and align its curriculum with industry requirements and emerging job market needs.
As part of these efforts, FJWU introduced two undergraduate degree programmes during the current admission cycle: BS Forensic Science under the Department of Biotechnology and BS Business Analytics under the Department of Business Administration.
The university has also initiated the establishment of a dedicated Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics to address the growing needs of the healthcare and professional sectors.
These academic initiatives aim to equip female students with relevant knowledge and skills and expand opportunities for professional development in emerging fields.
