PESHAWAR, Oct 09 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday held a meeting with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tribal Areas Electric Supply Company (TESCO), Zubair Khan Kundi, at the Governor House to discuss electricity related issues and the overall situation in the merged districts.
During the meeting, the TESCO CEO briefed the Governor on prolonged load-shedding, recovery of power dues, and operational challenges faced by the company in the merged districts.
The two also discussed the impact of unemployment and the prevailing law and order situation on the local population.
The Governor was informed that people in the merged districts were already facing hardships due to security-related challenges, making recovery of electricity dues a difficult task.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi stressed the need for addressing the genuine problems of the people and ensuring an improved power supply to facilitate economic activity and public welfare in the merged districts.
He also emphasized adopting a balanced approach to electricity recovery while taking into account the difficult socio-economic conditions of the residents.
