DHO to organize cycling event on Oct 31
ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):The District Health Office (DHO) Islamabad will organize a community cycling event, “Ride with Pink,” at F-9 Park on October 31 to raise awareness about breast cancer and promote healthy lifestyles.
The event, scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm, aims to encourage early detection of breast cancer and mobilize community support for awareness and prevention.
The initiative will bring together community members and families to promote physical activity while highlighting the importance of timely screening and access to healthcare services.
The event will also highlight free health screening initiatives, including screening for hepatitis C and diabetes, as part of broader efforts to promote preventive healthcare and improve community well-being.
The DHO Islamabad is organizing the activity in collaboration with partner organisations, including Ministry of Health, DOPASI, PILLS, the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, Muslim Hands, and Marie Stopes.
Through the initiative, the health authorities aim to encourage greater public participation in health awareness activities and reinforce the message that early detection and timely medical consultation can help improve health outcomes.
