ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP):People’s Political Front (PPF) representative Hassan al Bana has said that October 27 is the day of occupation, as this is the day when, in 1947, India invaded Kashmir, dropped its troops and took control forcefully without justification.
Bana said Kashmiri people have been resisting this occupation peacefully and resiliently for more than seven decades, despite the fact that all means and methods of resistance are barred to them by force, Kashmir Media Service reported.
Bana explained how generations of Kashmiris have been consumed since day India landed its troops in Srinagar and demanded that inhabitants of Kashmir must be given their legitimate right to self-determination guaranteed to them by international community through solemn UN Security Council Resolutions, and by Indian leaders through their promises and pledges, both inside and outside India.
While stressing the need for early release of Kashmiri prisoners, Bana said caging, banning and gagging voices of people can only inflict pain on the masses, but these inhuman acts can in no way help to bring peace to region.
Hassan al Bana has also shown deep concern over opening of offices of RSS in Kashmir valley. “Transporting these communal and criminal elements to Muslim-majority territory is actually a new ploy of Modi’s India to erase Kashmiri culture and identity,” said Bana.
