FGEHA board meeting seen as decisive step for Green Enclave-I
ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP):A delegation of allottees of Green Enclave-I on Tuesday met Project Director Mohsin Sardar to seek an update on the long-delayed housing project and urge the authorities to remove remaining hurdles to the resumption of development work.
The delegation comprised Chaudhary Amjad Ali, Professor Tahir Mahmood, Malik Sartaj, Rana Munawar and Fayyaz Tanoli. The allottees stressed the need for concrete progress on the project.
During the meeting, Project Director Mohsin Sardar said that work was underway to resolve the outstanding issues and that almost all hurdles had been addressed. He explained that a few minor adjustments were still required before the matter could be placed before the FGEHA Executive Board.
He said the project was expected to be presented at the board’s next meeting, likely to be held next week.
The development has raised hopes among allottees that the long-pending matter may finally move towards a decision. Green Enclave-I, initiated through an agreement in 2009 and formally launched in 2015, covers approximately 3,153 kanals.
Chaudhary Amjad Ali said, “The Executive Board’s consideration of the matter is expected to be a crucial step towards resolving the outstanding issues and determining the way forward.
The allottees are looking to the upcoming meeting for a clear decision, a firm development schedule and practical measures to bring the project closer to completion.
