IHC issues notices on plea seeking record in PIPS recruitment case
Justice Inaam replaces Justice Arbab Tahir on IHC administrative committee
ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to the parties on a miscellaneous application seeking records in a case challenging alleged manipulation in recruitment results at the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS).
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the application filed by Ahmed Mujtaba, a candidate for the post of Assistant Director at PIPS.
The petitioner appeared in person before the court.
The court directed the petitioner to provide copies of his miscellaneous application seeking the record to all parties.
PIPS’s counsel informed the court that a similar application had also been filed before Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro.
The petitioner clarified that the other petition was separate and challenged a decision of the Pakistan Information Commission.
The petitioner said that through the present miscellaneous application, he was specifically seeking the recruitment record for the post of Assistant Director at PIPS.
The court issued notices to the parties on the application seeking the recruitment record and adjourned the hearing until November 10.
