NCCIA DG Rizvi chairs meeting, orders stronger crackdown on illegal call centers
ISLAMABAD, Oct 18 (APP):Director General National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi  chaired a meeting with Additional Director Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib Khan and directed officers to intensify action against illegal call centers involved in financial fraud and other cybercrimes.
An NCCIA official told  on Sunday that the DG reviewed measures against illegal call centres and stressed the need to make ongoing operations more effective and result-oriented.
During the meeting,  Rizvi directed officers to identify call centres involved in illegal activities and take legal action against those responsible on the basis of solid evidence.
He said action should be taken without discrimination against individuals involved in illegal call centre operations.
The DG Rizvi said protecting citizens from financial fraud, online scams and other cybercrimes was a basic responsibility of NCCIA.
He instructed the concerned officers to work under a coordinated strategy, give immediate attention to public complaints and strengthen efforts to bring ongoing investigations and operations to their logical conclusion.
Rizvi emphasized that effective investigations and timely legal action were essential to protecting citizens from cybercriminals operating through illegal call centres.
