ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP):National Technical Focal Person for Polio Eradication Dr Altaf Bosan and Dr Imtiaz of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday visited outreach and fixed vaccination sites to monitor polio vaccination activities and assess field implementation.
The delegation visited Area 3, Phase 1, Union Council Hayatabad-2, IIUI School in Phase 2, where children were administered polio vaccine during the session.
According to officials, the visits focused on monitoring booster-dose vaccination activities, assessing field performance and identifying gaps that could affect vaccination coverage.
The officials reviewed the efforts of frontline teams and stressed the importance of reaching every eligible child to ensure protection against the poliovirus.
They emphasized that effective monitoring, community engagement and coordination among vaccination teams were essential to improving coverage and preventing the spread of the disease.
The visits were part of ongoing efforts to strengthen polio eradication activities and ensure that no child is missed during vaccination campaigns.
