ISLAMABAD, Oct 01 (APP): Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Safe City Operations Shehzada Umar Abbas and SSP Prisons Ali Akbar held a meeting with senior officials to discuss the Prison Management System, aimed at using modern technology to improve prison management and operational work.
An official told APP on Thursday that Director IT Safe City Atif Abbas, Deputy Director NOC Safe City and PITB representative Shehzad also attended the meeting.
The participants discussed the use of a digital system for prison management, better coordination among concerned departments and ways to make operational work more effective.
The meeting also reviewed how modern technology could help improve record management, information sharing and coordination between the concerned departments.
The officials stressed the need for close coordination to move the Prison Management System forward and make day-to-day operations easier, faster and more effective.
