RAWALPINDI, Oct 19 (APP):Security Forces killed four terrorists belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan during intelligence-based operations in various areas of Balochistan, while a Major embraced martyrdom in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast.
“Intelligence agencies reported the presence of multiple hideouts of Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan in the general areas of Shadi Kaur, Tehsil Pasni, District Gwadar, and Jattakabad, District Kalat, posing a threat to the local population. To safeguard the local populace and clear the area of terrorists, Security Forces are conducting operations in these areas,” said a news release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In the first incident, on 18 October 2026, Security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Jattakabad, District Kalat.
During the operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and, after an intense exchange of fire, four terrorists were sent to hell. A large cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered, the news release said.
In the second incident, Security Forces conducted a series of clearance operations in the general area of Shadi Kaur, Tehsil Pasni, District Gwadar.
During one of the operations, the lead force component, led by Major Wajahat Waheed (age 34, resident of Lahore), was targeted by an improvised explosive device. Major Wajahat Waheed, a son of the soil, made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and embraced shahadat.
“Sanitisation operations will continue to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. The relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace. Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain committed to eliminating the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” it further said.
