Shifa College promotes breast cancer awareness
ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP):Health experts at Shifa College of Medicine (SCM), part of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU) on Thursday emphasized the importance of breast cancer awareness, early detection and regular screening to improve health outcomes.
In an awareness session, the health experts highlighted the role of public education in helping women recognize potential warning signs, seek timely medical advice and make informed decisions about their health.
They said awareness initiatives can help address misconceptions surrounding breast cancer and encourage women to consult qualified healthcare professionals if they notice unusual changes in their breasts.
Early detection and timely treatment can improve outcomes, while appropriate screening based on age and individual risk factors remains an important part of breast health, they added.
They said the initiative underscores the importance of sustained awareness and preventive healthcare efforts in promoting women’s health and encouraging timely access to medical care.
