CHINIOT, Oct 26 (APP):The co-chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan and District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Naveed Atif held a meeting to review efforts aimed at curbing the theft of government-supplied water and taking action against those involved.

The meeting was attended by the ACs of all three tehsils, officials from the Irrigation Department, and representatives from other relevant departments.

During the session, Irrigation Department officials provided a detailed briefing to the DC and DPO regarding actions taken against individuals involved in water theft across the district, measures implemented to prevent such theft, and the ongoing monitoring system in place.

The meeting emphasized the importance of effective coordination among relevant departments to prevent water theft, identify violations, and ensure that legal action is taken against those responsible.

It was resolved that all concerned departments would continue to work in close collaboration to curb the illegal theft of government water and ensure its equitable distribution.
