CM team takes action over Nankana hospital lapses
LAHORE, Oct 02 (APP): On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the CM Inspection Team, headed by Special Assistant Shoaib Mirza, conducted a late-night inspection of DHQ Hospital Nankana Sahib and reviewed the facilities being provided to patients.
The team visited various sections of the hospital and interacted with patients, their attendants and hospital staff. It found the provision of medicines satisfactory, while medical equipment and machinery were also found fully operational.
However, the cleanliness situation was found unsatisfactory. Five persons responsible for poor cleanliness were removed from service, while complete deep cleaning of the hospital was carried out on the team’s directives.
The inspection team also detected overcharging in parking fees. On its instructions, the parking contractor was arrested and an FIR was registered against him.
