SUKKUR, Oct 14 (APP):Associate Professor and Chairman, Department of General History, University of Sindh, Jamshoro Pro. Dr. Irfan Ahmed Shaikh paid a visit to the Shaikh Ayaz University, Shikarpur.
The Vice Chancellor, the Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur, Prof. Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, warmly welcomed the distinguished academician at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat. Deans and senior administrative officers were also present on the occasion, said a press release.
During a cordial meeting held in a friendly and academic atmosphere, the Vice Chancellor briefed the distinguished guest on the university’s academic achievements, ongoing development projects, future roadmap, and five-year strategic plan. He highlighted the university’s commitment to providing affordable, quality higher education to students from Shikarpur and adjoining districts of Upper Sindh, despite limited resources.
The Vice Chancellor also accompanied Prof. Dr. Irfan Ahmed Shaikh on a comprehensive visit to various academic blocks, departments, and infrastructural facilities of the University.
Prof. Dr. Irfan Ahmed Shaikh expressed his profound pleasure over the remarkable progress made by the Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur in a short span of time. He highly appreciated the visionary leadership, untiring efforts, and day-and-night hard work of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, for uplifting the academic standards and strengthening the administrative structure of the institution.
He remarked that Shaikh Ayaz University Shikarpur is emerging as a beacon of knowledge and higher learning in Upper Sindh and will play a vital role in promoting research culture and socio-economic development in the region.
At the end of the visit, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, extended his sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Dr. Irfan Ahmed Shaikh for sparing his valuable time and visiting the University, and presented a token of warm hospitality and mutual academic respect.
