FIA offloads passenger over suspected illegal travel plan

FIA holds human trafficker
MULTAN, Oct 15 (APP): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration offloaded a passenger at the Multan International Airport over suspicions that he was attempting to travel to Europe illegally under the pretext of studying in Azerbaijan.
The passenger, identified as Muhammad Bilal, was travelling on an Azerbaijani study visa and intended to fly to Azerbaijan via Dubai on a Flydubai flight, FZ-326, the FIA official said.
During immigration clearance, the passenger failed to provide satisfactory information regarding his academic schedule and admission, raising suspicions about the purpose of his travel.
The FIA said evidence related to obtaining a Greek visa was recovered from the passenger’s mobile phone.
The investigation also indicated a suspected plan to travel to Greece from Azerbaijan using questionable documentation, it added.
According to the official, evidence was also found suggesting that the passenger was expected to pay between Rs5 million and Rs7 million for visa arrangements upon reaching Greece.
