Political unity vital for national stability, says Punjab Governor

Business community’s role vital in economic development: Governor Saleem
BUREWALA, Oct 16 (APP): Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has stressed the need for political unity, saying collective efforts by all stakeholders are essential to address the country’s challenges and safeguard its future.
The governor made these remarks while talking to the media during a private visit to Burewala on Friday, where stringent security arrangements were put in place for his arrival. He said political unity was no longer a matter of choice but a national necessity amid the challenges facing the country and its people.
He observed that economic and political stability depended on the continuity of the democratic system, cautioning that political differences should not be allowed to jeopardise the system or national interests. He urged all stakeholders to set aside their differences and engage in dialogue to overcome the prevailing crises.
Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said he would play a bridging role between the federal and provincial governments to promote coordination and facilitate relief for the people.
