Jamia Milia School beats Chak Sanghar School by two wickets in PCB Talent Hunt match
HYDERABAD, Oct 01 (APP): Jamia Milia School defeated Chak Sanghar School by two wickets in a cricket match played at the Tando Adam Cricket Ground under the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Talent Hunt Program.
Batting first, Chak Sanghar School scored 176 runs. Jamia Milia School chased down the target for the loss of eight wickets to secure victory in an exciting contest.
The district head coach of PCB Sanghar Mansoor Baig said the talent hunt Program was aimed at identifying promising young cricketers at the school level and providing them opportunities to develop their skills. He said several talented players had emerged during the match and their batting, bowling, fitness and discipline would be further developed.
Tando Adam’s cricket ground supervisor Mukhtiar Ali Umrani said the selection of the ground as a center for the PCB event would help promote cricket among young people in the area. The city schools chairman Mirza Ashfaq Baig said the PCB initiative was an important opportunity to identify emerging talent in both public and private schools.
