CM Afridi launches e-Fard portal, digital public feedback system
PESHAWAR, Oct 02 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi launched the e-Fard portal and digital public feedback system aimed at providing citizens with easier, faster and more transparent revenue services.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, the Chief Minister said citizens would now be able to obtain Fard (land ownership record) from their homes or nearby centres instead of making repeated visits to revenue offices.
“Provision of easy, transparent and speedy services to people at their doorstep is the government’s priority,” Sohail Afridi said, adding that digital reforms would further improve efficiency and transparency in land-record-related services.
According to a briefing, the e-Fard portal would enable citizens to obtain Fard through a simple, secure and automated process.
Three channels would be available for issuance of Fard: NADRA e-Sahulat centres, the official website’s self-service portal and the Dastak app.
Only users whose biometric verification had been completed through NADRA would be able to download the e-Fard, the briefing said.
The fee for issuance of Fard would be deposited electronically into the government treasury through OneLink and Easypaisa. Following payment, the Fard would remain saved in the citizen’s account and could be downloaded again at any time.
The document would also carry a QR code enabling online verification through the central land record system, according to the briefing.
The Chief Minister said the digital public feedback system would help identify delays and poor performance in the provision of revenue services.
Under the system, citizens who had availed themselves of revenue services would be contacted randomly by telephone. Their responses would be recorded in the form of voice feedback and entered into the system.
Citizen satisfaction would be recorded under four categories, while complaints of dissatisfied citizens would appear directly on the dashboard of the concerned deputy commissioner, officials briefed the Chief Minister.
The feedback mechanism would be used for continuous monitoring of district-level performance and citizen satisfaction, the briefing said.
Citizen feedback would also be incorporated as a key performance indicator in the monthly meetings of deputy commissioners. Districts demonstrating strong performance would be encouraged, while officials in underperforming districts would be asked to explain shortcomings.
Sohail Afridi said digital reforms would help reduce complaints relating to land matters and contribute to restoring public confidence in the land-record system.
He said digital reforms in the land-record system were an important requirement of the present time and reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring easy, transparent and efficient services for citizens.
The Chief Minister also appreciated officials who contributed to the launch of the digital reforms and presented them with certificates of appreciation.
