India treating IIOJK as colony since 1947: APHC
ISLAMABAD, Oct 14 (APP):The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that India has been treating occupied Jammu and Kashmir as its colony right from 27th October 1947 when it forcibly landed its troops in Srinagar.
The APHC spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the BJP has miserably failed to suppress the freedom sentiments. New Delhi is, he added, now resorting to brutality and using black laws to silence the voices of Kashmiris.
Terming the house raids as naked aggression and a violation of international covenants, he maintained that the Modi regime, instead of implementing the United Nations Security Council resolutions, is trying to stifle the voice of Kashmiri people.
The APHC urged the international community to put pressure on New Delhi to let Kashmiris speak what they want. He said colonization of IIOJK has been a long-pending dream of the RSS and BJP. He added that including non-Kashmiri Hindus in the voter list is yet another step to advance the Hindutva government’s dangerous game plan in the occupied territory.
As per the Colonial Diary, post-August 5, 2019, the Indian government introduced many new laws and amended several others to facilitate the issuance of domicile and land-owning rights to non-Kashmiris, mostly Hindus.
