National security must never be compromised for political interests: Sadiq Sanjrani

Sadiq Sanjrani

ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): Member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan and former Chairman of the Senate Sadiq Sanjrani on Saturday said that national security must never be compromised for political interests.

Sanjrani, in a social media post on his X timeline, emphasized that while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has every right to oppose government decisions, using such opposition as a pretext for rhetoric on Pakistan’s security, sovereignty, and national interests risks reinforcing the enemy’s narrative.

Highlighting the counter-terrorism effort, the former Senate Chairman asserted that terrorism is a national tragedy rather than a tool for political bargaining.

He said that the sacrifices of the country’s martyrs and the suffering of their families deserve respect, not political point-scoring.

Sanjrani stressed that Pakistan’s future depends on responsibility, clarity of purpose, and an unwavering commitment to defeating terrorism.
