UCH Lahore rejects ‘baseless’ sale reports following successful board registration
LAHORE, Oct 22 (APP):United Christian Hospital (UCH) Lahore has categorically rejected rumours of its sale, dismissing the reports as baseless and misleading while announcing the successful registration of its Board of Directors with Joint Stock Companies Registration authorities after eight years of sustained efforts.
In a statement issued on Thursday, UCH Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Akash Mathew stressed that the hospital is not for sale. He warned that such false claims risk creating unnecessary panic within the Christian community and undermining public confidence in the historic institution.
Management warned that strict disciplinary action will be taken against anyone continuing to spread misinformation, urging the public to rely solely on verified communications and official institutional processes.
Describing the board’s official registration as a major milestone for governance and institutional revival, leadership credited the breakthrough to the collective efforts of the board and its supporters.
Key figures acknowledged in the process include Chairman The Rt. Rev. Leo Rodrick Paul, Vice Chairman Rev. Dr. Majid Abel, Finance Committee Convener Archbishop The Most Rev. Dr. Azad Marshall, and Medical Director & CEO Dr. Akash Mathew.
Concluding the statement, the management congratulated the Christian community and well-wishers on the milestone, calling for responsible public communication regarding the hospital’s future and governance.
