Syedaal welcomes immediate recruitment under Balochistan’s quota
ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP):Acting Chairman of the Senate, Syedaal Khan Nasar, has welcomed the decision to begin immediate recruitment against vacant federal government posts from Grade 1 to 16 under Balochistan’s quota, saying it would improve employment opportunities and representation for the province’s youth.
He said the initiative, taken in line with the Prime Minister’s Office’s directions, would help eligible candidates secure federal government jobs based on merit and the province’s allocated quota.
He called for immediate measures to fill vacant positions reserved for Balochistan, expedite recruitment and facilitate eligible candidates. He said establishing the Balochistan Federal Government Facilitation Centre (BFGFC) was also an important development.
He noted that the special relaxation in the upper age limit, allowing candidates up to 35 years of age to apply for posts up to Grade 16, would enable more young people from the province to compete for federal government jobs.
The acting chairman expressed these views during meetings at Parliament House, Islamabad, with various delegations and prominent personalities, including, Senator Abdul Shakoor Khan, MNA Dr Farhan Chishti, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly member Sehrish Qamar, a delegation led by prominent transporter Malik Ishaq Kakar, a delegation led by Parliamentary Secretary and MPA Raja Hanif, and former deputy mayor Mir Younas Baloch. Traders, investors and representatives from various walks of life also attended the meetings.
The discussions focused on Balochistan’s development, the province’s quota in federal employment, economic stability, investment, trade, promotion of business activities and other matters of mutual interest.
Syedaal Khan Nasar said the prime minister took a special interest in Balochistan’s development, prosperity and public welfare.
He added that the federal government was committed to improving living standards, creating employment opportunities for young people and integrating them into the national development process. He emphasised that eligible candidates from Balochistan must be provided appropriate opportunities in federal employment in accordance with merit and the province’s allocated quota, enabling them to contribute effectively to the country’s progress.
He observed that Balochistan was an important province of Pakistan and that its progress was closely linked to the country’s overall development.
Effective measures were needed to expand employment opportunities, strengthen investor confidence and promote trade and business activities in the province, he said. Close cooperation among the government, business community and other relevant stakeholders could play a vital role in achieving these objectives.
Syedaal Khan Nasar said Pakistan’s development, prosperity and stability were shared national objectives. He stressed that all segments of society should rise above political affiliations and prioritise the national interest. Political harmony, national unity and cooperation were essential to addressing the challenges facing the country effectively, he added.
He also highlighted the significant contribution of traders, investors and the business community to the national economy. Promoting investment and trade in Balochistan would generate new employment opportunities, stimulate economic activity and help improve the financial well-being of the people.
The acting chairman reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening collective efforts for balanced development across all regions of Pakistan, resolving public issues, generating employment for young people and promoting economic stability.
