Syedaal Khan Nasar reaffirms support for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination on October 27 Black Day
ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP):Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), stressing that their right to self-determination must be ensured in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions.
In his message on Kashmir Black Day, observed on October 27, Syedaal Khan Nasar said the day serves as a reminder of the suffering and hardships endured by the Kashmiri people since the beginning of India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947.
He said Pakistan stands firmly with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their legitimate struggle for freedom, justice and fundamental rights. He emphasized that the international community must take practical steps to help resolve the longstanding Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The Deputy Chairman Senate called upon the international community to take serious notice of human rights concerns in IIOJK and play an effective role in securing a peaceful and just settlement of the dispute.
He reiterated that Pakistan would continue its diplomatic and moral support for the Kashmiri people until they can exercise their inalienable right to self-determination.
Syedaal Khan Nasar said a just and lasting resolution of the Kashmir dispute is essential for peace, stability and security in the region.
