DPM chairs meeting to review arrangements for next year’s SCO summit

ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Wednesday, directed the concerned authorities to monitor market trends closely and ensure that supply of wheat was adequate and Atta (flour) prices were on a downward trajectory.

The DPM/FM chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee on wheat, the DPM Office said in a press release.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for National Food Security & Research; SAPM Tariq Bajwa; Secretaries of National Food Security & Research, Commerce and Maritime Affairs; senior officials from all provinces and relevant ministries and departments.

The DPM/FM stressed that maintaining sufficient stocks and preventing any disruption in grain supply remain top priority for the government, noting that smooth coordination between federal and provincial bodies is vital to keep prices affordable for the public.
