Mirpur civil society holds ‘Youm-e-Nijaat’ rally, Calls for national stability:
MIRPUR(AJK) , Oct 13 (APP):A large number of citizens participated in a ‘Youm-e-Nijat’ (Day of Deliverance) rally organised by civil society in Mirpur(AJK) late Monday to express support for the imposition of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasising national security, stability, unity and the supremacy of the Constitution and law.
The rally was held at Quaid-e-Azam Chowk under the leadership of Traders Association President Chaudhry Mahmood and Aftab Ahmed and other trade union leaders.
Participants raised slogans in favour of Pakistan and expressed their resolve to uphold the country’s security, stability and national solidarity
The participants maintained that maintaining law and order, ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution and law, and respecting national institutions were essential for a stable society. They accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of promoting political instability and contended that the imposition of emergency in the province had become necessary.
Addressing the gathering, participants stressed that national interests must take precedence over political differences to ensure Pakistan’s progress, prosperity and stability. They called upon all relevant stakeholders to fulfil their responsibilities towards improving law and order, protecting citizens’ lives and property.
Civil society representatives emphasised that constitutional supremacy, national unity and respect for state institutions must be upheld at all costs. They said political differences should be resolved within the democratic and constitutional framework to strengthen stability and facilitate progress towards resolving public issues.
The rally concluded with special prayers for Pakistan’s security, stability, progress and prosperity.
