ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, accompanied by Deputy Speaker National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah Tuesday visited the project of 104 additional family suites adjacent to Parliament Lodges to review the progress of work, which has entered its final stages of completion.
During the visit, they inspected the quality of finishing work, furniture and furnishing of the suites.
Senior officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) briefed Speaker and Deputy Speaker on the progress and the remaining work required to finalize the project.
Initiated in 2011 and originally scheduled for completion in 2013, the project had remained stalled for nearly a decade.
It was subsequently revived through the keen interest of Ayaz Sadiq.
NA Speaker’s sustained attention to the project’s progress helped accelerate construction work, bringing the long-delayed project closer to completion.
The Secretary National Assembly, Special Secretary (Parliamentary Diplomacy and Protocol), other senior officers of the National Assembly Secretariat, and senior officials of the CDA were also present during the visit.
