Pakistan Embassy reaffirms commitment to promoting culture and supporting artists
BERLIN, Oct 9 (APP): The Embassy of Pakistan on Friday reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Pakistani culture and supporting Pakistani artists in Germany, highlighting the role of cultural exchanges in fostering dialogue and showcasing the country’s artistic heritage.
Press Counsellor at the Embassy, Dr. Sohail Aftab, attended the cultural exhibition “Doing Earth” at MOM Art Space in Hamburg, organised as part of Ecology of Trust, a German-Pakistan cultural exchange programme.
The exhibition features contemporary artworks by Pakistani female artists, including acclaimed artist Farrah Mahmood Rana, in collaboration with curator Dagmar Rauwald. It presents 21 artworks exploring human connections with nature, ecology, identity and shared social environments.
The cultural programme also included Pakistan Cinema Night, organised in collaboration with cultural association NUOTA. The programme features film screenings and discussions involving multidisciplinary artist and film researcher Ajmal Hussain, actor and director Salman Peerzada, and other Pakistani and German cultural figures.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aftab appreciated the talent of Pakistani artists, filmmakers and curators. He said the Embassy remained committed to supporting Pakistani diaspora artists, promoting cross-cultural dialogue and showcasing Pakistan’s artistic heritage and contemporary creative landscape in Germany.
The Embassy reaffirmed its resolve to continue supporting similar cultural and artistic initiatives in the future.
