PESHAWAR, Oct 05 (APP):Around 70 percent work on the Chhoi Khentla-Garam Thoon Road project has been completed, while construction on the remaining portion is underway.
The Rs470 million project was approved on the initiative of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan to meet the long-standing demand of the people of Haripur and improve road connectivity in the area.
According to an official release, the project includes widening and strengthening of the road and maintaining construction standards to ensure a durable road and safer travelling facilities for residents.
After completion, the road will connect villages and adjoining areas and reduce travel difficulties for local residents.
The project will also help transport agricultural produce and other goods to markets and improve movement between rural communities and nearby areas.
Local residents appreciated Arshad Ayub Khan and Khan Brothers for the approval and implementation of the project, saying it would help improve infrastructure and transport facilities in the area.
