Kohistani lauds Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace internationally
ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP):Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kheal Das Kohistani, on Monday, lauded Pakistan’s efforts for mediating role between two international powers at a time when the region was facing the threat of war.
Talking to the media outside Parliament House, he credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir efforts for Pakistan’s role in promoting global peace, which he said was being appreciated worldwide.
Kohistani expressed confidence that Pakistan’s efforts would help prevent conflict in the region.
Responding to a question, he expressed optimism that administrative affairs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) were better than those in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government, which, he said, had damaged the province and failed to focus on public welfare..
He said no talks had so far taken place between the government and the opposition on the matter, saying that the government always focused on dialogues to resolve political issues.
He reiterated efforts were being made to bring development and prosperity after the restoration of peace.
