ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP):Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nasir Butt on Friday stressed the need for political unity to restore peace in the country, saying all political parties wanted lasting peace and stability.
Talking to the media outside Parliament House, he said political parties needed to stand united on the issue of peace, adding that all stakeholders must sit together and play their role in the country’s betterment.
Nasir Butt said the opposition had not engaged in discussions on the Election Commission and electoral reforms over the past three years.
He added that the prime minister had once again extended an invitation to political parties to come together and discuss these matters in the larger national interest.
