ATTOCK, Oct 31 (APP): Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Saturday inaugurated a NADRA registration centre and a solar-powered water supply project in Mianwala union council in Pindigheb town of Attock, saying the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) remained committed to improving the living conditions of poor and underprivileged communities.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the governor said the party continued to follow the public-service vision of its late leaders, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.
Under the leadership of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, he added, the party was striving to promote public welfare and improve access to healthcare, education and employment opportunities.
Haider said practical steps were being taken to improve healthcare facilities in Attock district, including the establishment of dialysis centres and the provision of basic amenities to local communities.
He said the NADRA registration facility and solar-powered water supply project in Mianwala were part of these efforts and would provide direct relief to residents by improving access to essential services. Local political and social figures, PPP workers and office-bearers, and a large number of residents attended the ceremony.
