LAHORE, Oct 23 (APP):Former Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Sharif visited the residence of martyred Major Wajahat Waheed here on Friday and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
He met the martyr’s mother, brother, wife and other family members and expressed his heartfelt sympathies over the supreme sacrifice rendered by the army officer.
He said Major Wajahat Waheed had laid down his life while defending the motherland and performing his duties.
He said brave sons of the nation like Major Wajahat Waheed were a source of pride and a precious national asset. The sacrifices of martyrs who gave their lives for the security of the country could never be forgotten, he added.
Hamza said the families of martyrs deserved the highest respect and the entire nation shared their grief.
He prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and for patience and strength for the bereaved family.
