Rawalpindi Traffic Police continue road safety awareness campaign in educational institutions
RAWALPINDI, Oct 12 (APP): City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi have conducted an awareness session at an educational institution to educate students about traffic regulations, road signs and promote a culture of safe driving and responsible road use.
Inspector Tahira Kanwal, In-charge of the Traffic Education Wing, along with her team, is conducting awareness sessions to educate students about traffic rules and road safety.
During the sessions, students are being briefed on traffic signs, zebra crossings, stop lines, traffic signals, seat belts and other essential road safety regulations.
The Traffic Education Wing team is also providing students with practical training on traffic rules through a road map designed for educational purposes.
Speaking on the occasion, CTO Farhan Aslam said that children are the future of the country and that traffic education, alongside formal academic learning, is essential for their proper upbringing and development.
He emphasized that traffic education should be made part of the academic curriculum so that every child understands how to behave responsibly on roads and protect themselves and others from road accidents.
The CTO further stated that understanding and following traffic laws responsibly is a hallmark of a civilized nation. He added that traffic signs on roads serve as vital safeguards, and understanding and obeying them is key to ensuring safe travel.
Rawalpindi Traffic Police remain committed to promote traffic awareness among students and fostering a culture of road safety through continued educational initiatives.
