SNGPL task force disconnects four gas meters over compressor use

SNGPL disconnects four more meters, checks 60 meters
MULTAN, Oct 25 (APP):Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) Unaccounted For Gas (UFG) control task force disconnected four gas meters across different localities during an ongoing crackdown against illegal compressor usage and gas theft.
According to a spokesperson, the task force executed door-to-door inspections covering 55 consumer premises to detect unauthorized gas suction devices and meter tampering.
During the inspections, four connections were severed on the spot after consumers were found utilizing illegal compressors to extract gas, thereby disturbing line pressure in surrounding neighborhood networks.
SNGPL officials stated that strict legal proceedings and penalties would be initiated against the violators, emphasizing that zero-tolerance operations against gas theft will continue to ensure uninterrupted, equitable gas distribution for lawful consumers.
